Hi there!

Thanks for being here.

I'm Santiago Casal Buigues, born in Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1993. I trained as an actor and theatre teacher, and over the years I discovered photography as a new way to tell stories.

My journey began in theatre, a space that transformed me and taught me to see the world with empathy, playfulness, and sensitivity. From there, I dove into the visual world: set design, projections, images.

After a deep, emotionally transformative trip,

I discovered photography as a poetic and expressive language of its own.

Over time, I began to fuse everything I had learned, from the emotion of theatre to the power of storytelling. Today, my photographic perspective is shaped by all of it. Every image I create carries a sense of play, a bit of risk, and a lot of myself.

I’m currently based in Berlin, where I’m building a symbolic new home. Here I’ve found fertile ground to create and share, and I’m part of the collective @fotoblabla_berlin, an analog photography lab where we experiment with new ways of seeing.

Thanks for reading this far. If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out. I’d love to chat, share ideas, and create together.
